Ripple Design (‘Ripple’ or ‘we’ or ‘us’) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of visitors to its website www.RippleDesign.ie (the ‘Site’) as well as the privacy of persons or companies who interact with Ripple, provide data to Ripple about their company, products, or people, including confidential or personal data. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) sets out the terms on which Ripple processes any personal data that we collect from you or that you provide to Ripple or that we hold about you as a result of having interacted with you.   1. The information Ripple collects

You are not required to provide any personal or business information through this Site or via email, mail or other method. However, you may choose to do so by, for example, by contacting a member of our Team, sharing your business card at an event, or by submitting information about your company by electronic, telephonic, ordinary mail or by any other means. In addition, we sometimes hold Personal Data of contacts who have been introduced to us by other contacts in our corporate network, via websites, social media etc., or through life sciences or other industry blogs, newsletters and media.

  1. How Ripple uses this information

Ripple will use the information you provide on the relevant sections of the Site or by electronic, telephonic or other means, (i) to provide you with access to content either through the download of materials (ii) in order to provide you with relevant updates or news selected by Ripple, (iii) in order to improve the user experience of our website and help us to understand our visitor profile and interest in our business.

Ripple will only disclose your information to third parties where you have given your consent, or where third parties are contracted by us to help us with managing data, or where Ripple is required to do so by law or by a regulatory body, or where it is necessary for the purpose of, or in connection with, legal proceedings or in order to exercise or defend Ripple’s legal rights and, as the case may be, those of its partners and staff members.

Where Ripple enters into due diligence for the purposes of investment, Ripple will if requested sign the Ripple Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the entity or individual offering the investment opportunity.

We use personal data that we collect to fulfil contractual or regulatory obligations, for communication purposes and to maintain and expand our network. This includes sending updates about Ripple’s news, invitations to events and meetings, and to communicate, interact and correspond with our network generally on a day to day basis for legitimate business reasons via electronic, telephonic or postal means. We rely on our legitimate interests in maintaining business relationships and communicating with our contacts as a business contact, about our Ripple activities, events and news. We consider that our legitimate interests are in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and with all of our contacts’ legal rights and freedoms.

  1. Where Personal Data is stored.

Ripple stores data on our own servers in Ireland and on Microsoft365’s servers within Europe.

  1. How long do we keep Personal Data?

Personal data will be saved for the specified purposes mentioned above for as long as each contact continues to be a business contact. Our contacts can opt-out at any time, if they no longer wish to receive communications from us. Our contacts can also ask us to change or completely delete their personal data any time.

  1. Logs and Cookies

Ripple is collecting and processing information regarding the browsing by visitors on the Site via its logging systems. In addition, Ripple uses two types of cookies on the Site.

Strictly necessary cookies – Some of the cookies on the Site are essential in order to enable you to move around the Site and use its features. This includes accessing secure download links to our Microsoft cloud drive.

Performance cookies – Some of the cookies on the Site collect information about how visitors use the Site, for instance which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from webpages.

  1. IP addresses

When you visit the Site, Ripple’s server will record your IP address together with the date, time and duration of your visit. An IP address is an assigned number, which allows your computer to communicate over the Internet. It enables Ripple to identify which organisations have visited the Site. Ripple uses this information to compile statistical data on the use of the Site to track how users navigate through the Site in order to enable Ripple to evaluate and improve the Site and understand the interest areas of visitors and the types of visitors who use our Site.

  1. Emails

All email messages sent to and from Ripple may be monitored to ensure compliance with internal policies, for IT security purposes and to protect Ripple’s interests. Emails and attachments received may be stored in soft or hard copy. Our Email Disclaimer is:
